Purpose - Why does it exist?

To lead the development of clean, innovative, efficacious personal care formulations and to facilitate their smooth manufacturing scale-up.

Key Performance Indicators:

- Timely market launches of products and market feedback

- Smooth and robust scale-up of laboratory formulations

- Meeting cost and quality briefs for products

Key Responsibilities:

- As overall in charge of formulation development across all product categories, identify unique product opportunities and lead the creation of innovative, efficacious products

- Lead a team of formulation chemists to deliver development projects on time, within cost and first-timeright in terms of manufacturing scale-up

- Establish SOPs for product development, quality assurance and product testing

- Lead troubleshooting of product quality or production issues

- Conceptualize and execute value engineering projects

- Develop a vendor base of top quality, sustainably sourced raw material

Experience & Qualification:

Mandatory:

- At least 15 years experience in personal care formulation development, including at least 3 years in leadership roles

- Demonstrated ability to bring new product to market

- Troubleshooting skills

- Manufacturing experience highly preferred but not mandatory. Scale-up experience is a must

- Deep interest in and passion for science, laboratory work and seeing products scale up to successes in the market
