HEAD OF R&D

- An international organization in the consumer goods industry is looking for a seasoned professional who can re write the rules, challenge the status quo, work seamlessly with other functions to create the unique consumer experience.

- What you need to carry is 10+ years of quality experience in the health/personal care / cosmetics industry, you should have ideally held stints in production and quality assurance before landing up in leading a R&D team.

- While a research and development person with a chemical engineering background you should have the approach and mind-set of a business leader.

- Someone who takes all business aspects into account. The role is empowered and shoulders responsibility for setting the tone for the regional NPD agenda, expansion of current categories, extension of product lines, capital investment.

- Generating the projects /products briefs based on consumer in-sighting in conjunction with marketing.

- In short you need to build and escalate the barrier for competition entry into relevant categories. Along with the R&D department you would be managing the QA section as well

- Setting the strategies after doing the due diligence with the marketing and other functions you would ensure that the vision is cascaded along the line and capabilities and built to keep pace with the business need.

- Preferred competencies in Product innovation, Technology management, Research & Development, Product Claim management, People development, Quality Management

Desired Skills & Experience :

- Degree in Chemical engineering .

- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the health / personal care / cosmetics industry of which at least 2 years should have been at the helm of affairs

- Demonstrated track record of initiative, resourcefulness and a passion for supporting Innovation and improving the Quality of current brands.
