Role: Head of Quality
Job Responsibilities:
1. Ensure safe working environment in plant and enforce operators to adhere safety rule and regulations.
2. Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement throughout the battery manufacturing process to enhance product quality, consistency, and efficiency. Implement tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Supplier Quality Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with battery component suppliers. Implement supplier quality management processes to assess supplier capabilities, monitor performance, and ensure the delivery of high-quality materials and components.
4. Quality Control: Oversee all aspects of quality control, including incoming inspection, in-process monitoring, and final product testing. Establish quality control procedures and inspection criteria to verify product conformance to specifications and standards.
5. Non-Conformance Management: Develop procedures for identifying, documenting, and addressing non-conformances in product quality or process performance. Lead investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to prevent recurrence.
6. Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential quality risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on product quality and customer satisfaction. Monitor key quality metrics and performance indicators to proactively address emerging issues.
7. Training and Education: Provide training and education to employees on quality management principles, procedures, and best practices. Promote a culture of quality awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
8. Customer Feedback Management: Establish processes for collecting and analyzing customer feedback, complaints, and returns. Use customer feedback to drive product and process improvements and ensure customer satisfaction.
9. Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to lithium-ion battery manufacturing, such as AIS 156 Phase-2, UL 1642 and UN 38.3. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support regulatory submissions as needed.
10. Quality Assurance System Development: Establish, implement, and maintain a robust quality management system (QMS) tailored to the specific requirements of lithium-ion battery manufacturing. Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations such as ISO 9001 and AIS 156 Phase-2.
11. Audits and Inspections: Coordinate internal and external quality audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards, regulations, and customer requirements. Prepare for and participate in audits by regulatory agencies, customers, and certification bodies.
12. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records related to quality management activities, including quality procedures, specifications, test results, and audit findings.
13. Quality Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on quality performance, trends, and improvement initiatives. Communicate quality-related issues, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders and drive action plans for improvement.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Qualification: BE/Diploma (Preferably professionally qualified with Management degree/ diploma)
- Experience: 16~20 years in related area of Quality and candidate must be from battery background.
