Hiring - Head Quality Engineering For A Leading Banking Captive
- Provide direction and leadership to the Quality Engineering ("QE") Technical Engineering team
- Lead the cultural shift in testing practices that support company's Expert Engineering agenda including using the best test tools and framework to deliver a consistent and market leading testing service to the Enterprise
- Define, capture and report the quality metrics that will be used to measure the overall effectiveness and quality of the engineering and test delivery teams

Qualification and Experience Requirements :
- Relevant / aligned tertiary qualifications e.g. computer science/software engineering/information systems/ technology/business administration
- 12+ years experience technology leadership role with accountability for leading large teams
- Expert engineering background, with specific experience in testing tools and frameworks
- Demonstrated experience as a trusted advisor who influences outcomes with senior executives/stakeholders and/or mitigates issues to achieve outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise multiple issues and stakeholders, while working in a dynamic, cross functional and collaborative team environment
- Experience in agile execution
Key accountabilities :
- Lead a Global team of permanent and partner technical engineers across globally
- Encourage and promote diversity in the team, and act as a role model to enable, engage and motivate the team to perform at their highest level
- Coach and develop your leadership team to succeed in all aspects of their role
- Innovate and embed QE practices that deliver customer value, whilst monitoring and tracking the effectiveness of the test delivery teams
- Be an effective Global leader and change agent to inspire speed to value technology improvements
- Drive engineering effectiveness, productivity improvements and efficiencies for the technology organization
- Establish strong working relationships with the senior leaders and owners of technical services across the enterprise, and ensure that the right people, processes, and tools are available to meet the highest level of service and support their roadmap
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, operational and credit risk frameworks, and internal policies, standards and controls
- Ensure appropriate controls are activated and embedded into all key processes
- Fully leverage structured and unstructured data to drive the most effective decision-making across all aspects of technology in Banking Ledger Strategy

- Execution of the Quality strategy, demonstrating measurable uplift of capability across the entire Global Testing Delivery team
- Establishment of appropriate forums and Communities of Practice (CoP's) that enable QE to uplift their capabilities and staff engagement
- Innovative ideas around leading-edge technology to enable automated and efficient testing practices
- Measurable increase in efficiency and speed of delivery through automation
- Measurable improvement of quality of code being deployed to the customer and colleagues
- Improvement in QE employee engagement and people leader scores
- Improvement in the gender diversification of the QE talent pool using recruitment strategies, reward equality, and representation at all QE employee levels
- Proactively manage risk, meeting all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to process and procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues, or breaches as they are identified (risk accountability forms part of all roles, as everyone is responsible for managing risk and compliance)
