Head Quality/ Automobile

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Be a customer representative for the Products produced.

- Implementation of quality philosophy and policy of AS business at the plant location in alignment with business strategy

- Proactive or Corrective designing (wherever required as a consequence management), planning, maintaining and controlling activities at plant location to meet Quality Assurance objectives

- Ensuring Quality of outgoing products are as per the quality standards specified / committed

- Ensures outgoing quality of the product meets/exceeds customer requirements.

- Ensures that product meets/exceeds the outgoing product quality & consistently meets the critical parameter in line with the product attribute leadership (PAL's) through use of appropriate statistical tools.

- Ensures to get the priorities right for the product improvement by effectively coordinating with: PVT - for Product Quality and Reliability Improvement SQE - for Supplier Quality Improvement

- Ensure that the product is at par or better than the benchmark in terms of product and process parameters

- Ensure the deployment of quality management system defined in MQS through structured product, process & component audit.

- Approves and is authorized to stop production in case of violation of Quality Management System.

- Takes the lead in organizing periodic management reviews with the service management to provide updates on the progress as against the quality initiatives/goals & ensure timely escalations & PDCA.

- Provide functional guidance to the quality assurance team in terms of enhancing quality functional excellence and ensure that a structured problem-solving approach is being followed to improve the effectiveness & efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile:

- 15+ years in Quality Assurance in Medium to Heavy Commercial Vehicle segment.

- Thorough understanding of business operations, manufacturing and quality assurance processes. Familiarity with various quality systems. High level of business acumen, High level of process orientation, Ability to take strong positions and not bow to pressure, high level of analytical ability
