We are looking for a candidate for the position of Head - Purchase with an MNC Neutraceutical company based in Mumbai.

Job Description

Head – Purchase

- Graduate in Commerce / Engineering.

- MBA/PG with specialization in Supply Chain / Materials.

- Experience of around 12 years in Purchasing / Commercial, in Pharmaceutical / Chemical Industry.

Role:

- Responsible for Strategic Sourcing, Commercial Raw Material and Packaging Material Purchase, Project Purchase, Lab Equipment and Lab Chemicals Purchase, R&D Purchase, Consumables and Engineering Purchases.

- Responsible for Vendor development, Vendor Audit, and Ongoing Vendor Management.

- Developing vendors meeting Quality, Food Safety, and other regulatory requirement of industry.

- Strategic Contracting with overall understanding of material and vendors.

- Market intelligence on material pricing, movement and trends.

- Competitive and Industry Benchmarking.

- Support R&D / Marketing on New product Developments in terms of existing / new material.

- Proactively Manage Risk, hedging exchange and commodity risks as appropriate.

- Deploy resources efficiently, managing cash flow and seasonality of procurement efficiently

- Responsible for Scrap and By Product Sale.

- Work closely with Manufacturing, R & D and QA team to strike appropriate balance (availability, quality, yields) between material cost and overall product costing.

- Supply Material as per purchase plan / project plan.

- Sale / Utilisation of Export Scrips as per Strategy.

CTC can go upto INR 35 lakhs.
