Head - Purchase - Manufacturing

Requirements :

- Ensure purchasing strategy and processes are in place to achieve business objectives

- Take ownership of purchasing policy, guidelines and any associated documents

- Take ownership for On time delivery and quality of the goods received from Suppliers

- Responsible for managing relationships and negotiating with key suppliers at a senior strategic level (steel mills, foundaries, bought out items like mechanical seals, electric motors etc.)

- Support Sales & Marketing team and Design team in optimizing the enquiry sent by customer

- Interact with and provide support to production team for facilitating running production capacity at optimum level

- Provide leadership to departments under control. Set objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance

- Responsible for developing the appropriate organizational structure, resource plan and culture to achieve business objectives

- Candidate may be assigned additional duties based on higher and lower level of proficiency

Skills Required :

- Diploma / BE in Mechanical or Production Engg.

- Total work experience of Purchase Dept - Min 10 years out of which at least 3 years in leadership role.

- Strong Interpersonal ability for dealing with different people in organization at all levels

- Detail oriented, prioritizing skills and Logic and reasoning ability to solve issues and problems

- Courage to challenge status quo and implement best practices

- Knowledge of ERP system and material management

- Inspire and motivate the team

- Ability to handle higher volume of work-load and changing priorities
