Head of Projects | Real Estate vertical of diversified conglomerate

This is a leadership role in the real estate vertical of India's leading business house. The company is professionally run, and is a subsidiary of a listed company and has aggressive growth plans in the real estate sector.

As the Head of Projects, you will be responsible for the overall supervision of the multiple projects under construction.

What you will do :

- Reviewing and monitoring of project budgets and ensuring delivery within the same

- Reviewing project designs and ensuring adherence to the same during the course of construction

- Contributing and reviewing project design

- Ensuring coordination between core projects function and enabling functions like procurement, finance, operations

- Reviewing the construction contracts regularly to ensure adherence and safeguard the interests of the organization

- Driving continuous improvement in cost

- Ensuring timely delivery and handover of projects as per project plan

- Monitoring and ensuring adherence to best-in-class processes of quality and safety across projects

- Enabling and adopting use of latest construction technology across projects to deliver productivity and cost efficiency

- Taking up specific projects around quality, safety, cost, productivity and creating the benchmarks and enabling implementation as per plan

- Creating the right structure for the projects team overall and at site to ensure complete accountability

- Monitoring the performance of team members and creating the right environment for them to operate in

- Managing performance of the team including regular feedback to motivate the team to perform better

- Helping build overall capability of the team through training and skills upgradation

- Creation on processes to enable the organisation to scale

Candidate Profile :

- Civil Engineering degree with 20+ years of experience with major developers or construction companies in Indian or international real estate sector

- Strong project management expertise

- Understanding of latest technology in construction

- Financial acumen and grasp of numbers

- Strong understanding of project design

- Good Customer orientation and Process orientation skills

- Team management and Relationship Management
