Head of Projects
- Responsible for all projects across Pan India to provide our customer and account team with a single point of contact for all projects and ensure consistency, accountability and control of projects across client portfolio.
Role Summary :
- Achieve successful delivery of all project management and construction management services to our client across PAN INDIA.
Finance :
- Full Profit and Loss responsibility for the Pan India project business.
- Ensure appropriate commercial arrangements are in place to achieve financial targets.
- Identify and convert growth opportunities within designated account.
- Responsible for global projects strategy and performance of client account as an active member of the PAN INDIA Management Team.
- Represent client projects at an Executive level within the organisation
Customer :
- Proactively manage customer relationships to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Provide Programme Management Office leadership across PAN INDIA to ensure consistency, accountability and control of projects across client portfolio.
- Develop and improve relationship with all departments.
- Excellent customer relationship skills across multiple Countries and cultures.
- Ensure a meeting regime exists on a defined frequency that satisfies the client/s needs
- Provide regular, accurate and timely client reporting to meet and exceed customer's expectations
People :
- Manage and develop the Projects team to include recruitment, training development plans as to execute the current portfolio and demonstrate capability for larger projects
- Support succession and development of all team members
- Provide projects business team leadership and at all times demonstrating excellent Leadership Expectation Model behaviours.
- Provide guidance to our Country project delivery teams and draw from network of subject matter experts in relevant areas such as data centres, workplace, occupancy, energy, etc.
- Provide good levels of communication and support to Country Project Managers in achieving their objectives.
- Provide support for succession and development
Processes :
- Achieve operational excellence within designated account.
- Establish regular, clear and consistent channels of communication at all levels within the organisation.
- Continually review and challenge the effectiveness of business operations.
- Ensure all operations are carried out in accordance with company QHSE policies and procedures and CDM Regulations and all other relevant legislation
- Responsible for ensuring and improving Organisation and 3rd party safety performance on Project delivery
Qualification And Experience :
i. BE with 15+ years' experience working for blue chip companies in a customer facing capacity.
ii. Good interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form professional relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels of seniority
iii. Proven track record of leading and growing projects business.
iv. Track record of successfully managing large complex projects (up to $10M) with extensive hands-on project management experience within Construction / FM industry.
v. Ability to inspire and lead a Projects business unit in the Corporate environment
vi. Customer awareness and relationship management skills.
vii. Ability to identify the need for and successfully manage change.
viii. Ability to communicate across all levels of the business including effective written and oral communication.
ix. Demonstrate previous experience of business development and accountability for financial success.
x. Good IT skills (MS Project, Word, Excel, MS Outlook).
xi. Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
xii. Understanding of best in class CAPEX planning
