Job Title: Head of Production - High Precision Instruments (EMS Industry)

Qualification:

BE (Mechanical/ECE/EEE/E&I) or equivalent

MBA or M.Tech in relevant field is preferred

Job Responsibilities:

- Lead and oversee production operations for a manufacturing unit of 500+ employees, ensuring efficient production processes for high precision instruments.

- Strategic planning for production, including resource allocation, equipment management, and manpower to meet business goals.

- Ensure adherence to quality standards for all production activities, meeting both client specifications and industry regulations.

- Optimize production processes for cost, efficiency, and product quality improvement using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.

- Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure all manufacturing tools and machinery are in top operational condition to avoid downtimes.

- Monitor production output and deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality Control, Supply Chain, etc.) to streamline production and improve product development.

- Liaise with customers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure materials are available and issues are resolved quickly.

- Budget management for the production department, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.

- Implement and monitor health & safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

- Mentor and develop the production team, ensuring skill development, motivation, and performance are maintained at high levels.

- Oversee the introduction of new technologies and production methods to improve manufacturing capabilities and product offerings.

- Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and certifications required for high precision instrument manufacturing.

Competencies Expected:

- Strong technical knowledge of high precision instruments, advanced manufacturing techniques, and automation.

- Proven track record in managing large-scale production teams (500+ employees) in a highly regulated industry.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive results.

- Strong understanding of quality control, continuous improvement practices, and production optimization techniques.

- Ability to work under pressure, meet production deadlines, and deliver on organizational objectives.

- Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address operational issues.

Experience:

- 20 to 25 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or high precision instrument production.

- Prior experience in managing production units with 500+ employees and delivering high-precision, quality products.

Preferred Background:

- Experience in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry.

- Strong familiarity with high precision instruments production.
