Qualification, Experience & Competency
- Minimum Qualification B.Tech/Diploma in Leather Technology
- Minimum Relevant Experience 15 years
- Minimum Total Work Experience 15 years

- Design and Product development Proto development as per the briefing
- Personally, overseeing the development process
- Product engineering, selection of correct materials like leather, trims, Reinforcement materials, adhesives etc, finalizing Product development SOP for each Product developed, development of tech packs, overseeing and finalizing tools, dice patterns, technical evaluation of dice etc.
- Product Costing Calculating final /landed cost basis forex rates, duty and freight cost paid for imported materials like leather, Mokuba (Trims) and Hardware
- FG costing: Checking pattern measurements, finalizing wastage (based on materials and patterns shapes etc.) and material consumption, finalizing labor cost
- Procurement and Inventory management (RM) Directly following up for PO and payments with Finance and function head
- Product sourcing, developing alternate suppliers, price negotiation, vendor evaluation and order tracking
- Finalizing production and dispatch planning, scheduling cutting and preproduction, monitoring WIP and daily production progress, analysing cutting, assembling and dispatch reports and in-process QC rejection, wastage and consumption deviation AS per MR
- Sourcing and Vendor Management (FG) and inventory management Keeping a close watch on inventory levels of slow- and fast-moving stocks
- Vendor development, evaluation, negotiation, directly overseeing proto development, monitoring production status, ensuring timely dispatch of materials to the vendors and following up for delivery and dispatch schedule, troubleshooting in case of Quality issues
- Quality Control Personally, monitoring the quality of raw materials like leather and hardware
- Directly involved in in-process qc of cut components, embroidery, lining, semi-assembled parts, inline inspection
- Setting up standards for raw materials, material handling, product performance etc.
- Overseeing material testing and coordination with labs for the same, setting up testing parameters for raw materials and Finished goods
- Packaging Finalizing size, specification, and usage of packaging materials for individual articles
- Monitoring daily India dispatch and weekly NYC dispatches
- Coordinating with the logistics department for the procurement of packaging materials
- Merchandise Allocation and dispatch Monitoring weekly, monthly and quarterly sales, finalizing reorder levels, merchandise allocation to individual stores based on sales and demands
- Monitoring inventory and stock levels at the store and HO
- Sales, Sales Support and Promotion Following up on MBO orders, finalizing line sheets for MBO in coordination with Merchandising team
- Despatch, execution and follow up for pending MBO orders
- Regularly speaking to the sales team to identify new sales opportunities, gaps in demand and supply
- Providing 24X7 sales support to the front-end team for solving customer queries
- Researching and analysing trends in sales and consumer behaviour
- Drafting reports for the organization to enhance sales
- Planning and implementing shelf display
- Optimizing in-store displays, category markers, and category usage tips
- Adjusting strategies and materials to improve sales with new target markets
- Coordinating and briefing market research initiatives
- Conducting time-to-time training for the sales team
- Analysing and managing cash flow Brainstorming and continuously finding ways to reduce procurement and production cost
- Analyzing profit and loss
- Plant and machinery maintenance Best on sales and production target planning for increasing infrastructure, setting up additional production lines, identifying areas for modernization, scheduling routine maintenance of plants and machinery
AMC negotiation with service providers
- Designing and R&D for equipment, storage units, and signage systems for better and more efficient material handling systems to continuously reduce handling time and material wastage
- MIS and Process Benchmarking Conducting daily and weekly meetings with team to assess progress and bottlenecks in WIP
- Developing and conducting training for Karigars
- Playing an active role in designing (cutting, assembling, dispatching, packaging, testing, costing, wastage, and post-sales reports) MIS systems, playing a pivotal role in FG and Master data creation for ERP implementation and troubleshooting,
- Introducing new policies for the best production practices and implementation of policies like "Broken needle, No Tack etc
