Head - Product Management - Construction Chemicals

Profile: Head Product Management

This role will monitor the Product Segment Management functions and take an active role leading the market development from R&D through to customer sales. He/she will be responsible for the overall product management including market analysis, specification, reviewing technical documentation, product performance evaluation, new product introduction, competition product analysis, third party and internal testing of products, guiding sales team to achieve their Zonal Product Segment sales target. He/she should be working closely with the Target Market team & R&D to ensure timely resolution of any product related technical issues in line with customer needs and overall company strategy and goals.

Job Description :

- Highly customer focused, supporting the ZM/Sales team for business conversion using their extensive customer network in the Construction Chemical industry.

- Presenting our new product portfolio into the market, launching new technologies and demonstrating product value in the field with the respective Product Manager.

- Coordinate with the Technical Head for the new product development, analysis of competitor products and product positioning considering commercially viable products when compared to competition.

- Coordinate with Specification team, for the product approval process with Consultants/Govt. bodies etc.

- Coordinate with purchase team for the cost-effective solutions for improvement of product margins.

- Review the documentation of technical bid submission for key projects.

- Supervise large projects in start-up phase or projects where new technologies are used for the first time to ensure 100% technical compliance with the Companies Method Statement.

- Implementation of "Train the Trainer" concept - dissipating learning from overseas training programs within local team.

Knowledge and Skills

Education: BE / B.Tech Civil or equivalent with professional experience in relevant industry. Knowledge of AutoCad or similar, MS Power point, MS Excel, MS Projects, etc. will be important.
