Head Procurement - Plastics/Polyester or Plastic Films

- You are responsible for developing and implementing a formal strategy of buying goods, finding suppliers for new components, to achieve cost reductions, improve quality and ensure support programs throughout their life cycle.

- You will manage the suppliers and supports the team according to the responsibilities matrix of purchasing department.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

- Establish and analyze quotations (RFQ) from approved suppliers and matching the needs of production and pre-production of the company.

- Negotiate accordance with the interests of the company.

- Be responsible for purchasing decisions.

- Develop formal written strategies for goods or programs which it is responsible.

- Participate in the development and achievement of performance based suppliers.

- Working with suppliers, factories and project teams to achieve cost reductions and other series life.

- Establish, maintain and publish documents required by the purchasing force procedures.

- Manage the price changes of suppliers, stock rotation issues, cost reductions, engineering and meetings / activities with key suppliers change.

- Actively participate in meetings of program planning and progress meetings.

- Collaborate with the legal department to ensure the legal validity of contractual relations with its supplier base, as part of its remit.

Qualification And Experience:

1. BE/ MBA or equivalent qualification with Minimum 15+ years of experience managing procurement / Supply Chain Management in a Plastic or Polyester Film Industry

2. Proven track record of delivering results, complex high-risk projects, execution excellence, strong sourcing capability, managing change and strong customer focus.

3. Quick learner with ability to apply learnings quickly, think fast on the ground & Resilient in the face of adversity

4. Strong hands-on procurement and/or commercial experience, with excellent negotiation skills and exposure to developing and managing suppliers/business partners

5. Proven Leadership skills, Strong interpersonal & Communications skills with ability to influence and motivate and working through others

6. Pro-active, demonstrates initiative and drive.

7. Expert in managing e2e procurement in ERP (SAP)

8. Strong in data analysis & data crunching with ability to develop various scenarios.

9. Ability to quickly get up to speed with Procurement processes and in managing categories/ contracting models.

10. Ability to work and deliver in virtual teams and in cross-cultural environment

11. Comfortable working in a virtual team environment with regular connects with Category Managers and peers based in other locations in countries and regions.

12. Well-developed analytical skills, strong commercial mindset, constantly looking for opportunities to create value through innovation and transformation

13. A strong partner to the business, who can understand the needs and requirements of the business and ensure that the category/contract strategy deliver against needs & requirements

14. In-depth knowledge of the Trading & Supply, Having Technical, Engineering & Construction or Project Management, Road Transport/Logistics knowledge/experience will be an added advantage
