Crucial role in strategizing and optimizing the procurement processes and order management functions specific to air freight products. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to ensure the efficient sourcing of air freight services, timely order fulfillment, and effective relationship management with air freight service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Air Freight Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy for air freight products aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and select air freight service providers based on quality, cost, and reliability considerations.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with air freight service providers to achieve favorable agreements.
Air Freight Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key air freight service providers.
- Monitor the performance of air freight service providers and address issues or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with air freight service providers to drive continuous improvement in service quality, cost-effectiveness, and delivery.
Air Freight Order Fulfillment: Oversee the end-to-end order management process for air freight products, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to optimize air freight order fulfillment and delivery processes.
- Implement systems and processes to enhance efficiency and minimize errors in air freight order processing.
Cost Optimization for Air Freight: Analyze procurement and air freight order fulfillment costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Implement cost-effective sourcing strategies for air freight services without compromising quality or service levels.
- Work closely with relevant teams to optimize transportation and logistics costs specific to air freight.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in air freight procurement, order management, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills specific to air freight services.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with air freight transportation and logistics operations.
- Leadership experience and the ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
