Procurement Logistics Head

JOB PURPOSE:

Are you passionate to drive continuous buying competitiveness in Turkey logistics? Then this role is tailored for you.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE:

- Lead E2E procurement operations and contracting for METSA markets, including Turkey, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Israel etc. Deliver sourcing strategy

- Implement through contracting and negotiations for full Logistics portfolio including

- Transportation (Inbound and outbound) and Warehouse activities of chilled and ambient warehouses, support to IC distributors warehouse costs.

- Build strategic partnerships, establish and maintain key relationships with logistics providers to drive innovation and sustainability across the supply chain

- Understanding market conditions as well as forecasting future markets trends

- Planning and Executing Procurement Decisions of who to buy from, how to buy, when to buy

- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to drive strategic initiatives

- Working closely with Internal Operations team and External Supply Partners (3rd party logistics provider, warehouses) to drive key initiatives

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Experiences & Qualifications:

- Either a Degree with at least 10 years experience in Procurement / Logistics / Supply Chain Management

- Relevant Experience in Procurement / operations of Transportation services

- Proven price Negotiation & communications skills

- Turkish & English Knowledge

Experience Required:

- Buying, supplier selection, negotiation and contracting skills

- Strategic sourcing knowledge

- Supply market and FMCG knowledge

- Experience on project, tender management

- Financial analysis and reporting

- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Power Point

- SAP and Digital sourcing Platforms knowledge (advantage)

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Demonstrated and proven leadership capabilities

Skills:

- Procurement Expertise: Proven procurement experience, preferably in the procurement and logistics sector, with a deep understanding of strategic sourcing, contracting strategies, and supplier partnerships.

- Business Acumen: Extensive international business experience, with a proactive approach to identifying and developing opportunities in METSA and global markets.

- Negotiation & Relationship Building: Strong negotiation skills and a talent for building and maintaining supplier relationships, with cultural sensitivity and a global perspective.

- Leadership & Team Development: A people-first leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of driving results while nurturing team growth and development.

- Results-Oriented: A drive for results, with a focus on achieving ambitious targets and making a tangible impact on Unilever's sustainability agenda.
