Head Procurement - CA

Understands the Supply Chain priorities of the organization and provides inputs to support formulation of strategic sourcing & purchase strategy based on criticality of requirements, cost control norms and quality specifications

Develops strategic plans for efficient procurement of material & process improvement and translates them into standard processes & systems to minimise cycle time & cost

Supports Supply Chain Head in supply chain streamlining, optimal utilization of resources, improving process efficiencies and reducing the total cost of procurement

Assumes overall responsibility for formulating vendor development plans factoring procurement and transportation costs to gain overall cost advantage in sourcing

Develops procedures for obtaining quotations, communication of specifications based on user inputs and decisions on vendor selection for all purchase items

Ensures adherence to standardised systems and processes to enhance operational efficiencies and reduce redundancies in Purchase.

Negotiates competitive rates and freight charges with the vendors to minimise costs without compromising quality and timely availability of materials

Takes initiatives for cost reduction in sourcing and other related costs by new initiatives and standardising them

Person must have CA/ ICWA/ MBA (Finance). Minimum. 15-20 years in Sourcing function and at least 7 years in a position of similar responsibility
