Procurement Head (Raw Material Chemical Commodity)

Responsibilities:


- Reporting to the Managing Director India, you will be responsible for:

- Managing complete procurement for Direct categories (raw material & packaging).

- Planning, implementing, maintaining and monitoring procurement strategies and policies.

- Analysing supply market capacity, import/export economics in raw material supply chain. Developing BCP (business continuity planning) for domestic and imported materials.

- Managing supplier relationships, vendor inventory, and purchasing procedures while aligning with supplier standards, budget, and quality.

- Working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and develop initiatives to achieve Y-o-Y cost savings.

- Overlooking all contracts and always ensuring quality of products and services.

- Referencing raw material indices and data to forecast cost model.

- Ensure that goods are obtained from approved sources, meet existing quality and performance standards using proper purchasing practices which include ISO, Sarbanes-Oxley and Purchasing procedures while ensuring lowest Total Cost of Ownership and maximum value to bottom line.

- Provide leadership, guidance, and developmental training to the team in a manner that promotes professional growth, job success and organizational upskilling.

Qualification And Experience:

- BE Chemical engineer with 12-20 years of work experience in CATEGORY PROCUREMENT in a Commodity Chemical industry.

- Be thorough with using procurement tools (SAP MM, Ariba, Advanced Excel).

- Have considerable knowledge of methods of analysing suppliers & material, contract language, compliance requirements, and financial risk.

- Have the ability to develop & execute business continuity/strategic plans to provide direction toward the achievement of financial targets.

- Have a strong 'hands-on' people management, stakeholder management, team building, leadership and coaching skills.

- Required knowledge and experience negotiating contracts.

- Demonstrated organizational change management support for large, complex, enterprise-level initiatives.

- Be an excellent negotiation, oral, and written communication skills.

- Must have demonstrated experience leading and directing teams.

- Flexibility and adaptability to new instructions and/or dynamic organizational priorities is critical for job success.

- An aptitude for analytical thinking and analysis is critical to job success.

- An aptitude for both strategic and creative thinking is critical to job success.
