Job Description: Head Private Wealth Group (PWG)
Location: Bangalore
Reporting to: CEO
Role Overview:
The Head of Private Wealth Group (PWG) will spearhead the strategic direction, growth, and operational excellence of our private wealth management services. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive significant business growth, enhance client experience, and ensure stringent compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive wealth management experience and a proven track record of crafting and executing impactful strategies for affluent clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a robust strategy to drive business growth targeting affluent clients, ensuring alignment with the organization's vision and goals.
- Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities to expand the client base and increase market share.
Marketing and Sales Strategy:
- Drive and execute innovative marketing and sales strategies to identify, acquire, and retain target market segments.
- Leverage digital channels, strategic partnerships, and industry networks to maximize reach and engagement.
- Integrate sales of third-party products, such as PMS, mutual funds, and other asset classes, into the product offering.
Product Collaboration, Market Positioning, and Business Development:
- Collaborate with product teams and other divisions within Private Wealth Management to offer a comprehensive and competitive range of products, including broking, insurance, mutual funds, PMS, succession planning, alternative investments, bonds, NCDs, loans, real estate, and more.
- Develop and execute market positioning strategies to distinguish our offerings from competitors, highlighting unique value propositions and ensuring alignment with client needs and market demand.
- Drive business development initiatives to expand product reach, enhance client acquisition, and foster sustainable growth.
- Stay abreast of market trends and competitor strategies to ensure our product portfolio remains relevant and competitive.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including product partners and financial institutions, to enhance product offerings and drive mutual business growth.
Building AUM:
- Develop and implement strategies to build and grow Assets Under Management (AUM) by attracting and retaining high-net-worth individuals (HNI) and ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNI).
- Foster strong relationships with clients to encourage long-term engagement and investment.
Servicing HNI & UHNI in Wealth Management:
- Ensure exceptional service delivery to HNI and UHNI clients, addressing their unique financial needs and objectives with personalized solutions.
- Continuously enhance the client experience through proactive engagement and bespoke wealth management services.
Process and Governance:
- Establish and maintain robust processes and governance mechanisms to ensure smooth operations, compliance, and continuous improvement of business practices.
- Implement best practices to optimize operational efficiency and risk management.
Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of professionals, including relationship managers, product specialists, and support staff.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, innovation, and customer-centricity.
- Drive professional development and succession planning within the team.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory and organizational compliance requirements.
- Implement and monitor effective risk management practices to safeguard the business and clients.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in wealth management.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business growth strategies.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in building and managing large, high-performing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of a broad range of wealth management products and services.
- Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management practices.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and stay ahead of market trends.
