Job Description:

- Leading the team across the Plant for Safety - Team management Senior grade.

- Planning & Operations: Develop and implement safety management strategies and safety activity plan appropriate to the risks and long-term objectives of the Project. Ensure safety standards are embedded in the project planning, execution, completion and commissioning phase.

- Enforce safety risk assessments (HIRA or HEMP), assurance, inspections and trainings across all project sites to deliver credible, competitive and affordable projects and ensure compliance with company standards.

- Collaborate with project management teams to integrate safety into project schedules, ensuring that safety-critical activities are identified, assessed, barriers managed resourced.

- Oversee the creation and continuous improvement of safety protocols tailored to the specific challenges of construction projects in different regions.

- Assess and manage the consequences of design and process changes.

- Infrastructure Support: Ensure that all Project sites are equipped with necessary safety infrastructure, including personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency systems, and site specific safety tools.

- Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure safety is a priority in the design, installation, and maintenance of project-related infrastructure.

- Implement digital solutions to control the hazards as well as monitor safety performance in real-time across multiple construction sites.

- Ensure that construction teams are trained and supported with the latest safety tools, technologies, and practices to reduce risks on-site.

Safety Orientation:

- Develop and conduct train the trainer Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) tailored to the construction environment to pre-emptively address potential hazards.

- Lead the development and implementation of site-specific emergency response plans.

- Enforce compliance with health and safety requirements on construction sites to mitigate risks associated with steel manufacturing activities.

- Support incident investigations and enforce the implementation of the gap closure plans.

- Learning/Growth a. Lead initiatives to enhance safety capabilities for construction teams (company and Contractors).

- Drive continuous improvement in project safety by integrating lessons learned from previous construction projects and adopting best practices.

- Organize data analysis and insights to minimize repeated incidents.

- Stay updated on evolving safety regulations, technologies, and industry standards, applying them across all construction sites.
