Head - Plant Maintenance - Food Industry

Key Responsibilities:

- Developing and implementing maintenance procedures and ensuring compliance with safety regulations

- Leading a team of maintenance technicians and engineers

- Planning and scheduling maintenance activities to minimize downtime

- Identifying and resolving equipment malfunctions and breakdowns

- Overseeing the procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment

- Conducting regular inspections to assess the condition of machinery and facilities

- Collaborating with production and quality control teams to optimize equipment performance

- Managing the plant's maintenance budget and expenses

- Implementing preventive maintenance programs to prolong the life of equipment

- Training and mentoring maintenance staff on best practices and safety protocols

- Reporting on maintenance activities and performance metrics to senior management

- Implementing energy-saving initiatives to reduce operational costs

- Participating in the design and installation of new machinery and equipment

- Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards

- Resolving maintenance-related issues in a timely manner to minimize production delays

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/maters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

- Proven experience in plant maintenance management within the food industry

- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills

- Strong technical knowledge of food production machinery and equipment

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in the food manufacturing industry

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools

- Understanding of budgeting and cost control principles

- Certification in Maintenance Management is a plus

- Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively

- Attention to detail and quality in maintenance practices

- Flexibility to respond to maintenance emergencies outside of regular hours
