Plant IR Head
Job purpose The position is responsible to take the overall charge of all IR ,statutory & worker welfare activities. Role includes Negotiations with Unions, Wage settlement, Contract labor management & other IR related activities
Reports To Head ER&D
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables :
1. Responsible for harmonious Industrial ( Human) relations for the plant including IR & Long Term Settlements with Union.
2. Responsible for Disciplinary actions & Grievance Rederessal
3. Responsible for Statutory Compliance , Legal & Contract Labour Management
4. Responsible for Plant Safety and security.
5. Responsible for Plant administration & Transport.
6. Responsible for Training & welfare activities of workmen/ Trainees .
7. Responsible for creating manpower plan keeping in view the right ratio mix and cost of structure in line with long term organizational plan
8. Responsible for Educating workmen on advanced technology, change in the process for better productivity and safe practices.
Experience "10 years
Multi locations, multi states exposure will be preferred.???"
Qualification PG Diploma IR /MSW/Labor Laws/ Personnel Management/ MLS
Age around 38- 45 years
Skills & Competencies :
"Updated on relevant Labour Laws & State laws- Should be well informed up-to-date on changes to labour laws, arbitration decisions, court judgements and anything else that may affect union-management relations.
- Is able to take proactive initiatives to create healthy work culture, high level of engagement and pride at work place
- Excellent Communication & Negotiations skills
- Good Team player & Leadership qualities- Ability to transact with management and union keeping in mind the interests of both the parties, so as to arrive at a win-win situation
Result & Achievement Orientation :
Tactful yet Ethical. Problem solving skills - Should be able to network with people both inside & outside who are potential sources of information to capture pulse of people and advise management for appropriate and timely action
Liasoning Skills- Should be able to build partnership with different agencies (local industry, labour authorities, local government bodies, vendors and other business partners) to protect image of the organization
