Plant HR Head - manufacturing
- A large business house with diverse manufacturing portfolio is looking for an HR leader for one of its plant in Kolkatta.
- The plant HR Head is part of the management team at the plant and has a key role in driving the organization's success.
- The role involves management and strategic oversight of all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and managing the highest employee and labour standards.
- The position fosters a positive and productive workplace culture, ensures high employee engagement and retention, and implements effective HR policies and practices.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Planning: Blueprint for Success: Crafting HR Strategies to Achieve Plant Objectives.
- Guide HR policies, programs, and initiatives to support the plant's strategic priorities.
- Lead recruitment efforts to attract, hire, and retain top talent, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Pioneer performance management encompasses objective setting, performance evaluations, and tailored development pathways.
- Foster robust employee relations frameworks, adeptly navigating conflicts and fostering a conducive work atmosphere.
- Architect and administer compensation and benefits frameworks to ensure competitiveness and equity.
- Provide leadership and guidance on organizational development and change management initiatives.
- Oversee training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
- Lead HR analytics and reporting to provide insights for decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to support business initiatives and promote a cohesive organizational culture.
- Stay updated on HR best practices, trends, and legal requirements to ensure compliance and relevance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 22 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 10 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Managed a large workforce of 4000+ in a manufacturing setup (incl. blue-collared employees).
- In-depth knowledge of factory laws, labor laws, and regulatory compliance in India.
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
