Plant HR Head - Industrial Relations - Manufacturing
Opportunity to manage the entire gamut of HR/IR initiatives.
Opportunity to be part of the leadership of the Plant for the manufacturing giant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting into the Unit Head your roles & responsibilities will include.
- Working with the leadership to manage the plant HR activities.
- Participating with the leadership team in project planning and execution.
- Manpower planning and budgeting to attract the right talent to fill key positions within a stipulated time frame.
- Ensuring the successful launch of the plant by liaising with all external authorities to ensure legal & statutory compliance.
- Creating the overall HR Strategy in line with the business plans and executing on all aspects of HR wrt Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Organisation Design, Talent Management and Industrial Relations.
- Ensure plant compliance with HR related legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Manage and Implement Performance Management System.
- Liasoning with govt officials like factories inspector, labor department, local body and other government department based on the requirement.
- Establishes and maintains the presence on the shop floor to keep a read on the pulse of the organization.
- Manages and mitigates employees grievances by ensuring supervisors and leaders are creating an open forum for discussion and resolution of the same
- Welfare initiatives of employees, also ensure safe and safe and healthy working conditions for employees.
- Investigating and resolving complex or critical Industrial relation issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure discipline inside the organization, conducting domestic enquiry and taking disciplinary actions in case of violation.
- Employee Competency mapping.
- Excellent knowledge of Strategic Planning, Organizational Effectiveness,
- Talent Development and leadership effectiveness.
- Mentor and guide leaders to manage their own performance and of their teams and create pipeline of potential leaders.
- Administrative function of the company and build good relationships and keep adequate communication with all levels of employees and manage employee relations, Cascade and support HR related initiatives.
- Being a change agent and enforce the company culture and promote right behavior and Talent Management.
Qualification And Experience:
- MBA with 10-15 years of experience in a Plant HR role in a Manufacturing set up.
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
- Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- Excellent communication & presentation skills.
- Proficiency in HR software (e.g., HRIS or HRMS).
