Job Title: Plant Head

Job Purpose/Role:

- Company is seeking an experienced and visionary Plant Head to oversee the operations of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune, and spearhead the development of future greenfield projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of managing end to-end plant operations, operational excellence, and large-scale project management. This role requires strategic leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to align plant performance with organizational goals while scaling up for new facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee day-to-day plant operations, including production, quality, maintenance, and logistics, ensuring smooth functioning and achieving operational KPIs.

- Develop strategies to optimize production capacity, resource utilization, and cost efficiency.

- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and compliance with statutory regulations.

- Monitor plant performance through metrics such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), on-time delivery, and defect rates, and implement corrective measures as needed.

- Work closely with supply chain, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure material availability and cost-effective operations.

- Establish and maintain partnerships with external vendors, contractors, and government authorities.

- Drive alignment between production, R&D, and quality teams to achieve seamless product development and manufacturing.

- Drive innovation and automation initiatives to future-proof plant operations.

- Identify and implement emerging manufacturing technologies relevant to electronics and motor manufacturing.

- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and driving employee engagement.

- Build and develop talent pipelines for critical roles within the plant.

- Lead the planning, design, and execution of future greenfield manufacturing facilities, ensuring alignment with business growth objectives.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for site selection, infrastructure development, and equipment procurement.

- Oversee timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for greenfield projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion.

Education & Experience:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Operations, or a related field.

- MBA is a plus.

- 10-15 years of experience in plant management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in major manufacturing industries with a factory of scale of at least 50 acres.

- Proven expertise in managing high-volume production and scaling operations.

- Experience with greenfield projects or setting up new manufacturing facilities is essential.

- Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence frameworks is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

- Excellent project management skills, particularly for large-scale greenfield projects.

- Knowledge of SAP and other manufacturing analytics tools.
