- The role would have complete P&L responsibility for the Media Company, location being Kolkatta.
- Manages all day-to-day operations and administration.
- Monitors and controls budget expenditures, ensures maintenance of operating equipment and facilities, and motivates and engages the team.
Tasks -
- Plans, coordinates, and directs the operation of the branch to ensure compliance with all government and company regulations and standards.
- Forecast & achieve the targets with the team, as discussed and agreed with the management.
- Discuss with the Sales and other Heads to ensure implementation of innovative concepts.
- Educate the market and motivate team to bring in new/first time users from the local retail market.
- Initiate regular agency/direct client presentations.
- Discuss targets with sales head with regular motivation tools and follow-ups.
- Look into attaining additional revenue through the various offers.
- Maintain a climate that attracts, retains and motivates top quality personnel.
- Ensure effective management within the marketing, and public relations/promotions function, with provision for succession.
- Design, support and oversee cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
- Provide coaching and regular one-on-one meetings for team.
- Recruit, train and coach the team.
- Adhere to company policy and procedures in recruitment, separation, and other decisions.
- Ensure low staff turnover & maintain performance standards of the team.
- Responsibility Promotions and Marketing
- Research ways of improving branch profile, consult with the
- Marketing and the Promotions team and ensure implementation of decisions.
- Work with the Heads of Sales & others to add value to customers.
- Look into the branch needs and discuss with promotions coordinator on how to create solutions to those needs.
- Get reports from regions with regards to new projects and events and ensure implementation of the relevant projects for the local branch.
- Ensure the development and implementation of the promotions calendar
- Work with senior management team to develop and maintain a strategic perspective based on marketplace and constituent needs and satisfaction in organizational direction, program and services, and decision-making; and, ensure the overall health and vitality of the Company.
- Help make sure that the Company's philosophy; mission and vision are pertinent and practiced throughout the organization.
- Develop and coordinate means to seek regular input from the Company's key constituencies regarding the quality of programs and services and the Company's relevance.
- Help formulate and administer policies to ensure the integrity of the Company.l
- Responsible for setting and controlling operational budgets for the branch.
- Focus on reduction of operating costs and ensure increase in revenue.
- Assist in the annual budget planning process and regularly monitor expenditures.
- Ensure various financial processes of the Company are adhered to.
- Monitor RCS and ensure compliance

- Demonstrate and deliver on the revenue opportunities in conjunction with sales.
- Ensure implementation of concepts and ideas for outside broadcast activities that enhance brand profile.

Skill requirement -
- Very high amount of Sales Orientation & ability to lead a diverse team.
- Very high energy and leadership skills to lead a very high performing team (25 to 30 team members) in a very competitive environment.
- Would prefer someone from FMCG, Telecom, Banking background who has seen scale and business complexities.
Apart from the above, following are other skill requirements -
- Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management.
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles and procedures of operations of a branch.
- Ability to supervise and train employees, to include coaching, mentoring, organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies
- Employee development and performance management skills and the ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to lead, participate in and facilitate group meetings.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Finance exposure beneficial
Full-Time MBA is must along with Stability in a couple of good brands is critical. P & L exp would be an added advantage.
