Role Profile:

Role : Head of Operations

Reporting to : Director

Desired Professional Background:

B Tech - Mechanical/Production Engineering from good engineering institute and Post-Graduate Diploma / MBA in Operations Management is desirable.

Must have good academic background with through grasp of engineering fundamentals and knowledge of ISO /TS 16949, Must have rich exposure in manufacturing Environment in the area of sheet metal process/welding assembly and must have high degree of process orientation Must have exposure/working knowledge in problem solving techniques (six sigma, Seven QC tools .FMEA and DOE etc). Should have strong commercial and business acumen.

Role and Responsibility:

- Accountable for the P&L account with annual target of increase in customer satisfaction, revenue and PBT.

- Accountable for driving sustainable improvements and in eliminate waste and maximize the availability of plant and equipment and utilization of resources.

- Lead teams across manufacturing, engineering, tooling and ensure best practice is achieved through wide ranging engineering activities including; efficiency improvements, expenditure control including CAPEX

- Facilitate and mange process change, new product development initiatives, new line layouts and installation together.

- Facilitating the implementation of a continuous improvement and lean culture across organization. Build team for future challenges.

- Familiar with production process and lean manufacturing fundamentals

- Should have working knowledge in product and process Design

- Familiar in Quality management System, quality Plan, process FMEA/control Plan / QC circle concepts and waste elimination

- Familiar with TQM Principles TPM methodology

- Good grasp of supplier quality management and improvement

- Resolving customer complaints

- VE/VA and activity based costing

Process Knowledge:

- automotive subsystem, assemblies and sheet metal/welding and machining process

- Familiar with press /press tools /welding process such as TIG, MIG and resistance welding

- Basics of press tools and their upkeep

- Exposure to Robotic welding lines ( Desirable)

- Exposure to design of jigs and fixture, tools and gauges for manufacturing and inspection

- Exposure to plating and Painting process ( Desirable)

Experience: Above 20 years of rich and relevant experience in established and process driven organization. should have Min 5 yrs experience running a 100cr + mfg unit
