Head - Operations - Manufacturing

Job Summary :

The Head of Operations will be responsible for leading and optimizing all operational activities in India, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the organization. This role will involve managing teams, driving process improvements and contributing to the company's growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical/Job Responsibilities :

- Take responsibility jointly with the Head of Process Excellence for overseeing the entire Technical and Production team. Be accountable for the entire execution of orders and achieving key performance indicators established by the management. To work in tremendous joint coordination in order to achieve same.

- The running of all the unit/s functioning and operation from availability of resources, timely planning, effective production, no compromise on quality and competitive cost so as to ensure optimal profitability of the factory.

- Contribute to the development of the organization's strategy and provide advise / direction to the management on all aspects related to operations & production at the factory, develop & implement organization-wide management strategies to facilitate organizational objectives, whilst contributing to other areas as and when needed.

- Daily monitor and review the Unit performance targets against Build up plans, daily consolidation of Unit/s contribution to the budgeted plans, taking into account efficiencies, bottle necks and change overs, and work with the teams to ensure budgeted targets are achieved.

To direct and ensure the proper management of all operations in the following areas :

1. Production including running styles.

2. Operations All aspects of cutting through to finishing.

3. Quality assurance /control systems and processes in the areas.

4. Finishing and on-time shipment.

- In order to meet objectives set by the organization.

- Keep abreast with group-wide project portfolio & strategic changes to provide appropriate recommendations and project solutions to create synergies.

- Work with the merchandising teams to asses for style changes, to look at all the technical requirements. Plan the TNA to establish when the Raw materials, and when production will commence so as to ensure plant targets.

- Be always on top continuously evaluate, minimize complexities, optimize, improve processes and quality. Be responsible for compiling and putting in place annual

Manpower budget and closely reviewing budgets to keep in line with the plan :

1. Manage customer complaints and alerts to conduct failure analysis to provide corrective action plan and monitoring procedure.

2. Maintain and monitor the ongoing Factory Evaluation to ensure the compliance of technical capability and product safety practices at suppliers meeting requirements.

KPIs & Accountabilities :

a) OQL 1.0

b) Efficiency 95% and above for long runs and 85% and above for smaller runs.

c) Startup of at least 60% efficiency on first day and hitting target on 2nd - 3rd day specially for basic long run styles.

Job Requirements :

- Excellent command of written and spoken English.

- Highly motivated and result-driven individual.

Professional Qualification/Certification :

- Master's degree in any field

- Certification in Operations Management or a related field.

Experience : 15 to 20 years of relevant professional experience in Operations in India, preferably in an Automobile manufacturing organization.

Travel: Willingness to travel
