Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute comprehensive O&M strategies to achieve set objectives, minimize downtime, and maximize port utilization.

- Implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

- Lead the development and execution of spare parts planning to ensure timely availability of critical resources.

- Spearhead manpower planning and rationalization initiatives to optimize resource allocation and team effectiveness.

- Champion process improvement initiatives across all functionalities, including inventory management, cost control, and capacity enhancement.

- Oversee capital expenditure (Capex) projects, ensuring their successful implementation and alignment with strategic goals.

- Foster a culture of safety by ensuring adherence to safe working practices and leading the Behavioral Based Safety program.

- Set daily and long-term operational targets, including vessel turnaround times and equipment capacity availability.

- Drive seamless interdepartmental coordination to facilitate smooth port operations and meet set targets.

- Develop and implement quality management systems (ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001) and ensure continuous improvement through process review and optimization.

- Lead the identification and implementation of developmental programs for the O&M team, fostering their skillset and growth.

- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to team members.

- Collaborate with HR to ensure adequate training and growth opportunities for operational staff.

- Oversee effective auditing and compliance of all quality and safety systems within port operations.

- Implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize resource utilization, including power, water, and equipment maintenance expenses.

- Prepare annual budgets for O&M activities and inventory control.

Key Qualifications:

- Bacherlor's or master's (Mechanical) degree with a minimum of 10-20 years of experience in port operations and maintenance.

- At least 8 years of experience in managing port O&M functions.

- Proven track record of leading and optimizing O&M processes for increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

- In-depth understanding of port operations, cargo handling procedures, and equipment maintenance practices.

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Experience in implementing Lean Six Sigma principles (preferred).

- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.

- Commitment to safety excellence and fostering a safe working environment.

- Proficiency in port-related software and financial budgeting
