Candidate's Primary Responsibility:
Our Client is a growing organisation and this is an excellent entrepreneurial opportunity for someone to explore meaningful and satisfying work which would result in direct impact on the poor. This role is fairly diverse and requires confidence, professionalism and a go-getter attitude.
- This is a strategic senior role with strong focus on operational responsibilities with building and scaling the business.
- The primary responsibilities include overseeing of operations of all the operational centres as well as assistance with managing ongoing relationships with doctors, labs and hospitals and potential business development for scaling up the business.
The Head of Operations will be expected to:
- Handle P&L responsibility of each centre and of the Company
- Work closely with the CEO in setting up strategic goals/revenue targets and managing P&L for the organization
- Assign revenue, cost and profit targets to self and team for growing the business.
- Monitor customer complaints and review the issues with technical team
- Monitor cost and revenue gaps and address the same
- Identify new initiatives in the market from conceptualization to execution and contribute to the growth of the organization
- Hire, develop and retain a high quality team across centres, monitoring HR, finance and administrative activities
- Oversee, develop and mentor all employees of the Company
- Conduct regular interactions, team meetings with all employees and manage their training and development
- Managing weekly, monthly and quarterly MIS reporting and taking responsibility of review with management on operational performance and marketing plans
Expected Skills and Requirement:
- Candidates with work experience in an operational role for at least 5 years should apply; Experience in HealthCare industry is an added plus
- Experience managing a customer service organization is preferred; Experience of designing and managing smooth operations for a growing, high-impact organization is desirable
- Should be able to manage staff with conflicting demand and performance pressures while sticking to delivery timelines and cost constraints
- Should be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Should be detail oriented, organised, professional and responsible
- Should be able to form positive relationship with the team and lead the team
- Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of Kannada, Hindi and English is preferable
- Should be comfortable with technology and should have ability to work with technology software as well as MS Office - Word, Powerpoint, Excel etc.
- Should have impeccable credentials of the highest level of integrity, ethics, and honesty
- Bachelor's degree and an MBA with exposure to operation management would be considered a plus
Key Terms about the Role:
- This position will begin based on a 1 month probation period and based on the candidate's performance, it can convert into a full time position.
- During the trial period the candidate will need to achieve the goals agreed upon which would include:
a) Monthly revenue targets
b) operational excellence as per standard of the company in quality, turn-around time, employee satisfaction and customer satisfaction. (All targets to be jointly decided by the Company and the Candidate)
- The selected candidate will have a choice to be based out of any of the locations of the company - Davangere, Hubli or Gulbarga and will be required to travel to other centres in Karnataka as and when needed
- Working hours are Monday to Saturday - 8 am to 5 pm and work may require extra hours. No overtime or compensatory off will be allowed for the same
- In the initial 1 month, candidate will not be entitled to any holidays or sick leaves other than the weekly Sunday off.
- Leaves shall accrue over a period of time (1 day for every 1 month of tenure completed) and can be availed accordingly. Taking more leaves than what is accrued shall be deemed as leave without pay
- Any leave taken without written permission from the CEO will be deemed as leave without pay
- An absence from work for more than 4 days without any intimation would amount to permanent suspension from the job
- Selected candidate will be required to respond to client / staff requests over phone, SMS, email at all times of the day. This is to ensure prompt response to client / staff needs
Compensation Structure:
- Compensation for this position will be in line with the experience and value the individual will be able to add to the organization.
- The compensation will be competitive with added perks such as performance linked annual bonus, professional on the job training.
- The salary will have both fixed and variable components and variable will be paid on achieving the agreed upon targets.
- If the selected candidate is able to generate higher business or demonstrate exception performance, the candidate will be entitled for further incentives.
