Position: Head of Operations.

Location: Mumbai.

Experience: 8-10 Years (preferably in the Diamond/Jewellery industry).

Reporting to: Director.

Industry: Gems & Jewellery.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Strategy Development:

- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.

- Ensure smooth processing of operations, stock efficiency, and production planning and sourcing.

Production and Inventory Management:

- Achieve production targets within cost, time, and quality norms.

- Maintain overall inventory management and control.

Financial Management:

- Direct and coordinate financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investment, and increase stock efficiency.

- Manage expenses, costs, and margins to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goals.

Process Improvement:

- Review existing processes and build new processes to enhance efficiency.

- Own and continuously strengthen Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with best practices.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Collaborate with key strategic suppliers to ensure competitive operational advantage.

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry influencers, trade associations, and key stakeholders to enhance brand visibility and credibility.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement.

- Expertly handle report analysis to drive informed decision-making.

Team Management:

- Lead and manage cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence.

- Coordinate with the IT team to ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

- Master's degree in Business Administration.

- Advanced degrees or certifications in Operations Management or related fields are advantageous.

Industry Knowledge:

- In-depth understanding of the diamond industry, including market trends and regulatory frameworks.

Leadership:

- Proven experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Strategic Thinking:

- Ability to develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business objectives.

Analytical Skills:

- Proficient in analyzing operational data and metrics using MS Excel.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement changes effectively.

Operational Expertise:

- Proven track record of developing and executing successful operational processes resulting in increased functionality.
