Operations Head for Japanese FMCG entering India

Our client is a 100 year old Japanese FMCG company which is now entering India through the greenfield route. The company is looking for an India operations head who will be handling all activities related to the company's entry in India and will be directly reporting to the group CEO in Japan. This is essentially an India Head role with the designation of Chief Operating Officer.

The various aspects of this role include:

Role 1 - HR/General Affairs Management :

- Responding to laws

- Organisation Establishment

- Recruitment

- Training/Education

- Management/Supervising of Working schedule

Role 2 - External Response :

- Responding to Government Offices (RIICO/RBI/FIPB/SIA/ROC)

- Responding to Financial Institutions

- Responding to neighboring companies

Role 3 - Management of Cash/Profit :

- Cash Management

- Financing

- Fund Management

- Fund Optimization

- Profit Management

- Financial Settlement (Yearly/Monthly)

- Response to Audit

- Accounting Management

- Budget Planning

- Budget Management

Role 4 - Responsible for Factory Construction :

- Legal Application

- Negotiation with the relevant ministries and agencies

- Supervising the factory construction

Role 5 - Responsible for Factory operations :

- Responding to Legal Applications etc

- Establishment of Factory organization

- Supplier Acquisition for raw materials etc.

Role 6 - Responding to Sales Activities :

- Establishment of Distribution/Sales network

- Establishment of Sales organization & Start of Activities

- Planning/Reporting of Sales Activities

The desired candidate profile is a person from an FMCG company from the manufacturing/operations function who has significant leadership experience.
