Our client is redefining the future of student living by curating and managing residential and purpose-built student accommodation options. Their web platform is a place thathelps students connect and interact with other students, and find the perfect home and roommate.
This disruptive startup was founded in the Singapore over a year ago by 2 veterans of the real estate & Hospitality domain who collectively have more than 2 decades of experience and have worked with brands like JLL, KPMG, EY, Marriot etc.
The company has been backed by marquee VCs including 500 Startups and is on track to a series A funding. They cater to the top end of the student living market and already offer premium student housing facilities for top universities in Asia including National University of Singapore, Singapore Management University, and INSEAD Business School.
As a Head of Operations, you will be responsible for strategically lead multiple operational departments including security, hospitality services, and facilities within the city.
What you will do :
- Working closely with the founders to optimize the operational efficiency and P&L for all the properties
- Developing an operational matrix
- Driving the success of all operational support for Community Management teams
- Directly managing the outsourced facilities team.
- Implementing and measuring clear KPIs for each sub-department of facilities.
- Structuring effective training program that enables team members to onboard quickly and successfully
- Being accountable for department budgets
- Processing management and business Insights
- Managing key processes to optimize business, including goal setting and review, and cross-functional meetings designed to optimize member experience
- Leveraging analytics to identify & recommend opportunities to reduce OPEX and improving business efficiency
- On an ongoing basis auditing key business processes and recommending improvements
- Playing a program management role to ensure that the highest priority projects are successfully executed
Candidate Profile :
What you need to have :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality, food and beverage, property management or other related field
- Strong understanding of building mechanical systems
- Experience opening new business units
- Deep understanding of building financials in order to continually optimize vendor and team performance
- Experience managing teams located in multiple markets and countries
- A true leader. One who can inspire others to take action and be their best
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Experience presenting to executive level stakeholders to receive the necessary resources for success
- Knowledge in IT infrastructure a plus
- Multiple languages a plus
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
- Prior experience in a guest facing role in a premium 5 star hotel chain is desirable
