Our client, a leading VC funded travel eCommerce company is seeking a top-notch internet marketing professional to join their Marketing team
Core Responsibilities
Search Engine Marketing:
The candidate will be expected to own and be responsible for driving Paid Search marketing initiatives. Working closely with other teams, he/she will be charged with leading planning, campaign design, execution, measurement, and optimization of search engine marketing initiatives to further rapidly growing businesses.
- Drive customer acquisition for the company via search engine marketing
- Manage all planning and execution of online search marketing programs, including campaign setup, monitoring, reporting, analysis, optimization, budget pacing and forecasting, keyword research and expansion, competitive benchmarking, and strategic portfolio insights
- Work closely with Product, Technology and Sales teams and the rest of the Marketing team to strengthen performance of the SEM efforts. This could include developing brand new user-experiences on Site to optimizing pages to developing widgets to almost anything else!
- Partner with data and analytics teams to develop and evolve marketing reporting dashboards and analyze individual campaign performances to derive actionable insights to improve performance, conversion rates, and lifetime customer value
- Provide regular performance updates to business owners and serve as the channel owner in making recommendations, sharing best practices, and alerting to new trends and emerging opportunities
- Identify emerging online advertising technology and capabilities to improve program performance
Search Engine Optimization:
This role is also responsible for increasing visibility of company in the natural search results of internet search engines, primarily Google.
- Own SEO targets and drive execution of projects that enable meeting and exceeding these targets
- The individual will be expected to work closely with Product, Technology and Content teams to identify opportunities, drive ‘optimization’ thinking, validate hypotheses through A/B testing and coordinate execution
- Stay up-to-date on the landscape and think ahead on sustained relevance of our SEO strategies
- Employ deep analytical skills where required to monitor performance and uncover opportunities
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate should be highly motivated with a demonstrated track record of strong academic and professional performance. The position requires someone who is very proficient with Internet Marketing [SEM & SEO] best practices, is a strong communicator and influencer, possesses superior analytical skills and is comfortable working across teams in a fast-paced global environment.
- 6 to 8 years of professional experience, incl. at least 3 years of Internet Marketing [and SEO] experience with a proven track record in developing and executing marketing campaigns at different scale
- Intimate understanding of key internet marketing metrics [CPC, CTR, Conversion Rate, etc.], SEM variables [Quality Score, PageRank, etc.] and Performance measures [esp. Lead-Gen and On-Site Conversions] and the ability to recognize how they might impact campaigns and business
- Marketing technology savvy and comfortable using Paid Search management tools [Adwords, AdCenter, SEM tools providers]
- Skill in identifying and executing against different campaign optimization strategies and techniques
- Strong project management skills, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on judgment
- Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Microsoft Access and SQL a plus
- Superior oral and written communication skills, incl. comfort presenting to senior executives
- Strong analytical skills and ability to extract actionable insight from large quantity of data
- Fun, energetic and collaborative personality with self-starter approach to work
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in maths, economics, engineering, or related discipline with MBA preferred.
