Key Responsibilities -
Complete P&L responsibility, formulating strategy, converting strategy into business plan and executing it at ground zero with team to deliver results.
The role cuts across all aspects of business life cycle involving technology, user experience, product & merchandise management, content management, internet marketing, onsite marketing, pricing, promotions, warehousing and fulfilment operations, web analytics, payments and customer care.
Work with other leaders to influence the creation and communication of company strategy, business priorities and targets for online store and ensure there are systems in place to enable the team to receive the information in a timely manner.
Generates ideas about future retail activities to ensure a cutting-edge strategy; maintains up to date knowledge of the market, competitors and trends.
Influences and supports the retail element of the annual budget process ensuring understanding and buy in from the operations team. Constantly reviews financial data and supports the Online Store Representatives in providing realistic input into the sales budgets
Takes decisions on matters relating to the day to day retail operation within their defined work area including the strategic planning of resources.
Strategize all onsite marketing and internet marketing initiatives that will bring organic growth to user acquisition and keeping it highly ROI focused.
Work clearly with omni-channel focus and offer unified consumer experience. Build strong content creation strategy and working with consumer facing ideology of - What you see is what you get- .
Building a team of specialized professionals that can deliver under pressure. Proactively manage and review the performance and progress of the team, sets objectives and targets; works with HR Department to develop individual training plans for the team & ensures all people management issues are satisfactorily resolved and relevant HR policies and procedures are adhered to. Chairs disciplinary, grievance, capability hearings and appeals as required.
Setting up ecommerce operations which includes warehousing, fulfilment, payments, customer service. The role is charted to build up processes and systems from scratch to support scalability and smooth customer delight.
Spends time in analysing Online Stores and customers to understand and identify business critical issues in order to ensure the alignment of tactics and strategies.
Setting up of all the Processes & Systems for the Function. Demonstrate a keen eye for details in product selection & development, demonstrate awareness of international products in introducing new product concepts in local markets
Maintains and constantly develops innovative and cost effective sales generation; monitors stock weekly to achieve bottom line sales budget against monthly targets
Allocate budget among sub-categories, based on sales analysis and business plan, plan a range of merchandise based on trend & competitor analysis, and new product requirements, Monitor merchandise allocation, Review product movement in terms of sales and stock turn, to select SKUs for price promotions or markdowns
