My client is a leading university in Nigeria. They are an upcoming university who are in the process of building there faculties in Architecture. They are looking at min 10+ yrs of experience in teaching Architecture as a subject.

Job Description :

- Conduct of tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions and studio sessions where applicable.

- Involve in the preparation and delivery of lectures and seminars.

- Consultation and advising students as Senior Faculty.

- Participation in academic conferences both locally and internationally.

- Supervision of major undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.

- Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students engaged in course work.

- Involve in the development of research policy.

- Conduct of research including where appropriate Leadership of a large research cluster.

- Participation in Joint projects and collaboration agreements.

- Development of research and teaching laboratories where applicable.

- Participation in syllabus and curriculum design.

- Participation in administrative activities related to research (research organization, editing of research journals and collections of articles, organization of conferences etc).

- Participation in the work of academic decision-making bodies of the University and its units as well as of other collegial decision-making bodies and committees.

- Publication of research results in print or their presentation in academic fora.

- Involvement in professional activity within and outside the University.

- Initiation and development of course compact.

- Marking, grading and assessment of examination or test.

- Attendance at Departmental, School, College and/or Friday Faculty Fellowship meetings and/or membership of a number of committees.

- Any other duties that may be assigned by the Head of Department or University Management.
