Job Description:

Company is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic New Product Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the end-to-end process of new product development, particularly within manufacturing industries. This role requires a strategic thinker who can understand market needs, generate product briefs, and oversee the entire development cycle, including design, manufacturing, and packaging.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Briefs and Sales Requirements:

- Understand and interpret product briefs and sales requirements for new products.

- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align product development with market demands.

2. Market Analysis and Proposal:

- Conduct market research to identify opportunities for new products.

- Generate product briefs and propose new products based on market studies.

3. Specifications and Manufacturing:

- Understand and translate product specifications into manufacturing requirements.

- Familiarity with manufacturing industries and the steps involved in product creation.

4. Technical Background:

- Technical background preferred, with the ability to understand engineering drawings.

- Collaborate with product designers and engineers to guide the design process.

5. Manufacturing Processes:

- Knowledge of multiple manufacturing processes and their constraints.

- Involvement in mold development and final part development, ensuring fits, functionality, corrections, and color finalizations.

6. Packaging Development:

- Oversee packaging development, including colored boxes, labels, and artworks.

- Aesthetically direct designers without needing to design personally.

7. Weights and Measures:

- Basic knowledge of weights and measure requirements (preferred but not mandatory).

8. Product Launch and Training:

- Manage product launches and provide training to sales teams about new products.

9. Printing Processes:

- Familiarity with printing processes, labeling, and heat transfer labeling.

10. Project Management:

- Demonstrated experience in developing 10-12 products, including those with plastics and outsourced components.

- Ability to understand and project manage the entire product development cycle.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

- Minimum of 12 years of experience in new product development.

- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and product design.

- Excellent project management and leadership skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Effective communication and presentation abilities.
