Head New Product Development - Home Appliances

Role :

- The Head of Product Development is responsible for leading the organization in research for new products, product enhancements and product redesign of home appliances.

- Originates new products in concert with customer needs and business model.

- Designing and implementing product development and commercialization plans to ensure successful execution of the company's strategy.

- Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement for existing ones.

- Establishing a Product Development Roadmap for initial and future product lines.

- Managing individuals across development and eventually commercial, including recruiting, hiring, designing organizational structure, setting objectives, and ensuring high performance of all members of staff in achieving company objectives.

Desired Profile :

- A degree in Engineering with 15 - 20 years of industry experience, preferably with significant experience in consumer durable product development and commercialization.

- Knowledge of mass manufacturing processes, engineering materials & tool room activities is expected.

- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

- Process orientation; demonstrated ability to develop repeatable processes or improve existing processes in and out of product development.

- Project management skills.
