Head - Middle Division - Education

We are currently looking for Head of Middle Division for one of the top schools in India.

1.Total work experience: 7 - 12 years

2.Reporting: Director / Principal

3.The desired candidate can be an Expatriate or Indian

4.The desired candidate should have ample experience in the IGCSE Cambridge curriculum.

Requirement:

- B.Ed from recognized university. M.Ed preferred.

- An experienced administrator with at least 7-10 years- experience as a teacher with thorough knowledge of IGCSE curriculum.

- A fundamental understanding of the IGCSE program requirements.

- A strong sense of responsibility for the academic and pastoral welfare of the students.

- IT Savvy

- Fluency in written and spoken English.

- Proven ability to deal effectively with people, both nationals and internationals.

- Organizational skills, including the organization and effective management of electronic and paper record

Roles and Responsibilities:

- To be a part of the school pedagogical leadership team which oversees planning, resource allocation, teaching and learning process, assessment, calendar issues and school policy matters.

- Overall coordination of academic & administrative matters pertaining to the Grade 7-10 section of the school.

- Monitor closely the day to day work of MD coordinator, while coordinating with Heads of Department and Specialists.

- Part of selection & recruitment of appropriate staff, as per the school procedure.

- Monitoring the scheme of work /unit plans /record of work in collaboration with the HOD

- Carrying out school performance appraisals of MD Staff in collaboration with HOD / Principal which would involve formal class visits and - walk through-

- Drafting of various budgets relevant to the section, as per the broad frame work of the school policy.

- Be involved in the hiring of staff teaching the MD along with Principal, keeping in mind the larger staffing needs.

- To coordinate teacher participation at IGCSE workshops and professional development activities along with the MD coordinator.

- To oversee with the examination coordinator, the conduct of the examinations, including mock examinations, orals, arrangements for visiting examiners, prompt mailing of examination papers and to ensure that students obtain their results.

- To coordinate trips and exchanges for teachers and students and matters relating to accommodating transfer students

- To oversee the mentoring programme implemented by the departments for newly appointed staff
