Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities :
A. Creating a comprehensive marketing plan with expected measurable impact on each relevant stakeholders :
- Work with the execom to understand the overall ambitions of the organisation and define the impact of the VIP brand on relevant stakeholders
- Provide inputs to create the marketing strategy for the organisation
- Work with the COG to identify the events and sponsorship opportunities across the year which will help establish VIP as a thought leader in the industry
- Collaborate with COP and the SBU heads to create a marketing plan for the year that will support the sales objectives of the organisation
- Work with the brand managers to identify the ideal media for communicating to the consumers (TVC, Radio, Digital) and the ATL and BTL activities for each brand
- Use the inputs to create a marketing calendar for the year with specific start and end dates for each activity
B. Budgeting for the marketing activities :
- Work with the Execom to create a marketing budget based on the activities for the year
- Provide a detailed break up on the use of the marketing budget over the year to the leadership along with the impact
- Finalise on the approved budget by a stipulated time and put in place metrics to measure them
C. Implementation of the marketing plan :
- Consumer Marketing :
i. Create a list of activities for marketing and NPD including the identification of opportunities, creating the packaging, pricing and promotional activities and the overseeing the launch of new products
ii. Review vendors for the different marketing activities such as media buying agencies, creative agencies, packaging vendors and research agencies
iii. Create and review communication brief for selecting the agency
iv. Ensure that the content of the communication is aligned to the objectives which it wants to achieve and to the brand guidelines set
v. Monitor entire communication creation process to ensure it is launched on time
- Channel Marketing :
i. Create a list of tasks which need to be carried out to by the team
ii. Review the cost benefit analysis to determine the best way to engage with the trade (promotional activities, schemes, dealer meet) to achieve the quarterly objectives
iii. Ensure that the schemes and channel marketing activities are launched on time according to plan
Corporate Marketing :
i. Work with the COG to develop the content for the events and platforms which will help establish VIP as a thought leader in the industry
ii. Ensure speaking slots are available at the events identified
iii. Ensure adherence to the plan set at the beginning of the year
- New product launches :
i. Working with NPD to create a product launch calendar for the year
ii. Work with the NPD team to create communication for each new product
iii. Ensure that the pricing of the product is in line with the brand proposition
iv. Ensure the launch of the product is done on time
