Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the company's overall business goals
- Work closely with the supply chain and operations teams to design and create promotional activities from concept, to product selections and offers, and execution on ground for customers
- Analytical capabilities to assess the impact of marketing activities and to make decisions for improvements on basket value, customer retention, sales, customer experience, and overall business growth
- Work with operations to ensure the best possible customer service experience and create an ongoing dialogue for customer interaction and feedback loops for business opportunities
- Create annual marketing and promotional calendars and budgets in line with company goals and for approval and management sign off
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute marketing programs, including on-ground marketing, digital campaigns, events, promotions, and PR initiatives
- Oversee market research and analysis to stay current on market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitors.
- Ability to conduct market surveys for demographic, psychographic, and business analysis
- Manage the marketing budget and ensure all activities are cost-effective
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and product development, to ensure that marketing initiatives support their goals and objectives
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including media outlets, agencies, and vendors
- Manage the company's social media and digital marketing presence, including website and ecommerce platforms
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing programs, and continuously improve strategies based on results
- Continuously gather customer feedback and business data for further analytics and tactically decision making
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/PG degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 10 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of creating and executing successful marketing programs
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Knowledge of the retail industry and current marketing trends
- Mandatory to be able to work with excel and big data crunching and analysis
- Project management skills to manage promotion planning and calendars
- Strong ability to meet task deadlines
