Position - Head Marketing
Reporting - Chief Executive Officer
Location - Pune
The role of the Head of Marketing is precisely this, to understand the Indian Consumer and create the right position and price point for each of the product categories
Marketing Strategy:
- Defining and executing optimal marketing mix and an effective Go-To-Market strategy to achieve business and successfully executing integrated marketing strategy to extend the brand footprint in the segment.
- Securing approval for the strategy as well as the resources required and delivering this strategy through powerful marketing programs
- Drive implementation of brand within available resources to achieve target sales and profits.
- Lead entry into new markets and categories through definition of the market opportunity, development of the business case, securing approval for the entry and putting together the team and resources for implementation.
Product Marketing Management:
- Develop and execute Marketing plans, creating positioning platforms and brand mnemonics validated through customer research. Overall management of Creatives, Media plans, Research and various BTL support activities.
- Manage marketing budgets, integrating mass-media (TV, print, outdoor), BTL (events, activations, promotions), on-line marketing (SEO, SEM, etc) and marketing collaterals
- Undertake research studies to identify customer needs and assist in communication development
- Develop relationships with media houses and other partners to create and run timely advertising campaigns.
- Support strategy and drive implementation of brand plans to achieve target sales and profits. This includes strategies on communication development, media planning and implementation, and consumer insights generation on the brand.
New Product planning & Launches :
- Monitor feedback from sales and customer research
- Work with R&D on product design and enhancements
- Conceptualize process of new product development and launch plans
- Coordinate brand promotion and marketing events from a commercial viability viewpoint and ensure a positive ROI on the process
Market Development :
- Source and analyze market data for opportunity and growth
- Supervise implementation of new systems and processes in the selling and marketing model
- Tracking of dealer networks, secondary sales
- Develop emerging market segments and guide new customers to strengthen the marketing function
Channel Management :
- Interact with major dealers in field sales to evaluate incentive programs and create new dealer incentives and promotional initiatives.
- Improve profitability and revenue growth from the target channels and enhance dealer motivation and ownership for sales/service.
People Development :
- Participate in recruitment and selection process
- Employee review and guide performance, provide development feedback
- Suggest training programs to facilitate development process.
