Head Design (Marketing)

The Role:

- The Head of design leads the design thinking and execution of all marketing assets including copy, static, video and physical brand assets.

- They would lead a team of static designers, motion designers and copywriters to deliver clutter breaking design and set the bar across. They would work closely with brand marketing, performance marketing and external agencies to elevate design ethos across products and comms.

Key Responsibilities:

Managerial Responsibilities:

- Lead, coach and develop a team of static designers, motion designers and copywriters

- Work closely with external agencies and internal stakeholders to develop content

- Will be handling a team of 11 (Direct reportees)

Functional Responsibilities:

- Be the content design custodian ; determine the design strategy and execute it

- Build design guidelines across brand and assets

- Work with brand & perf marketing teams to develop content that appeals to our consumers/customers

- Ensure adherence to brand guidelines. Sometimes break them and redefine them

- Develop content that adds value to the consumers/customers we serve

- Ensure delivery on cost, quality and time in asset development

- Challenge status quo

Skills Required:

- 6-10 years of experience across in-house creative teams or creative agency.

- Should have hands on experience in static, video design, art & copy.

- Must have understanding of various consumer touch points (app/social/web/etc) and ability to distinguish performance from brand building. Prefer candidates with leading in house creative teams in startups or boutique agencies.

Functional competencies:

- Hands on experience with static design tools

- Hands on experience with motion design tools

- Created content for performance marketing on digital mediums

- Created content for brand building

- Copywriting experience, especially short format (WA/push/etc.)

- Managed mid to large sized creative teams

- Through understanding of the production process

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience: 6 to 10 years of experience across in-house creative teams or creative agency

Qualification: Bachelor's/Master's degree from a tier 1 institute
