Head - Market Retail Operations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Target Achievement

- Achievement of the Sales and EBITDA

- To ensure that OPEX/EBITDA Targets of COCO and COFO stores (all formats) are met

- To monitor, control and supervise stock and inventory at the stores. Supervise and review annual stock planning and buying for the stores

Operational Excellence

- Monitor existing parameters and continuously review/ refine and create appropriate measures of productivity towards maximising retail operational profitability.

- Provide guidance on escalated issues and customer complaints

- To ensure all compliances in the region are adhered to as per protocols

- To ensure adherence to brand's store operations protocol and principles and monitor compliance to protocols, provide guidance on escalated issues and drive transfer of internal best practices. To work with the team of MRHs / State Heads to ensure Store SOPs are reviewed and updated

- To provide inputs on SOPs as per industry benchmarks in order to design, implement, monitor and continuously upgrade them for meeting company objectives

- Work towards increasing the profitability of non-performing stores

- To ensure all stores follow corporate VM guidelines

- Work closely with HR and Training teams to drive high performance by training, coaching and rewarding employees suitably

Retail Expansion

- Identifying potential store locations and business opportunities as per local real estate trends, catchment areas, demographics and economic indicators

- New Store Execution as per the timelines

- Conceptualize and implement initiatives to drive market visibility and growth

- Work closely with the Regional Heads on driving efficiency in store rentals and operating cost management

Inventory Management

- To adhere to annual Inventory budget at the stores

- Ensure maximum productive utilization of the stock by effective stock rotation

- Ensure freshness of the stock at the stores as per company protocol

- Minimise damaged stock and inventory loss

Brand and Marketing

- Work closely with Brand and Marketing department on annual promotional calendar for the regions

- Collaborate with B&M, Loyalty teams and regional teams to increase new customer acquisition and repeat customers.

Stakeholder Management

- Build rapport, trust, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and adapt communication and working style in cultural and situational contexts.

People Development/ Team Management

- Maintain and develop organisational culture, values and reputation in its markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies

- Build and lead an effective and cohesive management team

- To hire deploy and manage team to enhance team productivity

- To provide support, motivation and encouragement to colleagues and team members & explore job rotations and career planning

- To handle conflicts, team member's non-performance through mentoring and coaching

- To identify training needs for the team and ensure they are addressed

JOB SPECIFICATION: (QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE)

- Years of Functional Experience: 18 - 20 years of work exp in Sales / Retail operations with min 8 - 10 years of exp of running profit centre retail operations in lifestyle / Apparel / consumer care Industry

- Degree/Diploma: Masters / MBA from top tier university / business school
