Head - Market - Global Delivery - Infra

TEAM CONTEXT:

- 150-member team, covering all levels of expertise (from production pilots to SMEs)

- Delivering infrastructure services in all regions, for the RESG/GTS/MKT department perimeter: hosting services for CIB (Corporate & Investment Banking) and GIMS (Private Banking, Global Investment Management and Services)

- Covering technologies and services from Command Center to Database Adminstration and Middleware

- Covering all kind of missions, from 24x7 production support to design and engineering

KEY SKILL AREAS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

- 12+ years of experience in infrastructure, especially in production environment and captive-like model

- Capability to formalize and implement strategic orientations

- Strong leadership skills in technology and operations

- Strong Risk Management culture

- Strong experience in conceptualizing Functional and / or Technical architecture

- Strong Project Planning , Execution & reporting

- Good grasp of ITIL concepts

- Proven capability of bringing strong productivity and efficiency gains

- Strong transitioning experience to onboard new activities and functions

- Capability to interact with Senior management of a global organization

- Capability to animate and participate in Steering Committee meetings and other high level forums

- Strong People Management skills

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

- Develop international recognition of the capabilities of GSC GTS teams to deliver high-standard engineering for a world-wide perimeter

- Propose, and eventually put in place, world-wide process convergence.

- Help streamline industrial processes requiring multiple teams and technologies, such as “provision of a new database” (datacenter, network, storage, system, DBA)

- Increase the general technical level of the tasks performed by the team. Perform left-shifting wherever possible, propose and actively participate to automation efforts.

- Develop professional Follow-The-Sun practices with the GTS/MKT teams under creation in Montreal

- Get ready for new challenges around the transformation of IT hosting services: management of appliance-based services (Exadata, Exalogic, Teradata), “IT-on-demand” paradigm

- Widen coverage on L2-tasks on middleware perimeter ; assume leadership roles on a fair share of middleware technologies

- Develop a Market Data team, to be able to handle global, regional and local needs on this perimeter

- Mutualisation of the Command Centers of CIB and GIMS, both for efficiency purpose and to follow Group realignment on these businesses
