Head/Manager- Quality Management/Quality Assurance - FMCG - NIT/DCE/BITS

We are currently looking for a Quality Management Professional for one of the topmost consumer goods Conglomerates in India. The position is to be based at Chennai.

Purpose of the Job-

To lead the Quality Assurance Team, ensure sustainable quality of our products & services and provide technical expertise throughout the product development life cycle with a strong sense of ownership in order to strive towards business excellence, meet and exceed quality standards and customer expectations.

Principal Accountabilities :

- Scan the environment for best practices and lead implementation of feasible quality approaches/techniques

- Develop central quality plan and work closely with production team to devise and review specifications for products and processes

- Conduct audit and follow up to ensure adherence to SOP & specification of inputs to maintain the product quality as per targets

- Understand consumer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes

- Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data

- To oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards

- Evaluation of vendors through QGOL Data & system audit

- To develop exclusive testing labs to assess the quality of raw materials from suppliers

- To provide timely resolution of defects identified in PQRS within agreed time to reduce defects to improve product quality and facilitate identification of key focus areas for continuous improvement

- Formulate training modules and impart knowledge of the emerging techniques/technologies/ methodologies to employees

Experience Essential: 12 - 18 years of hands on experience in Quality Assurance

Educational Qualification -

- B.E. / B. Tech from a premier Engg Institute like NIT/ REC/ BITS/ DCE / NSIT/ HBTI/ VIT, etc

- No unexplained gaps in education and at least 50% marks, high school onwards

- Additional Certifications in Six Sigma and QMS, ISO will be preferred.

Age Range : 33 - 40 years

Remuneration : Should Range around Rs.32.0-36.0 LPA
