1. Head - Marketing & Product Management would be responsible for leading marketing strategy and operations. Responsibilities include broadly strategic planning and annual budgeting, Key Opinion Leader management, market research, sales force alignment, culture development and people management. The position collaborates with functions like Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Human Resources and other external stakeholders, as required. This position will report to Business Unit Head and is a people manager role.
2. Lead strategic planning and annual budgeting; prepare marketing budget and business plan in partnership with sales; set targets & strategically explore new business opportunities; develop action plans to review & track the progress and result of the marketing strategy; ensure sales team uses and implements the marketing strategy to its full potential; monitor the marketing expenses as per budget
3. Oversee launch in close alignment and communication with sales teams; motivate people in team to ensure seamless implementation of product plans; treat sales force as primary customers and support them with added value training and marketing programs to ensure optimal marketing message flow through technology and tools; partner with sales head to help achieve the organizational objectives in terms of target achievement, productivity growth & new ideas
4. Identify market research needs including product-wise stakeholders and market dynamics; lead market intelligence gathering to understand customer needs and competitors strategies; leverage this knowledge to create competitive advantage and develop appropriate strategies & campaigns; work closely with medical and regulatory to bring and expand relevant products in/to portfolio
5. Lead Key Opinion Leaders management independently and along with medical team; recommend alternative and innovative media to communicate with the physicians- community
6. Manage processes around A&P investment in a compliant manner
7. Identify vendors as per the business requirement
8. Ensure adherence to the company norms and policies & maintain confidentiality of information of the Company i.e. walk the talk; develop colleagues as per the Company's culture & values
9. Partner with Human Resources on talent front; engage the team to achieve the shared goals; facilitate people development; engage the team to meet professional and personal aspirations; conduct goal setting and ensure regular annual and mid-term performance appraisal; set clear and objective goals and key responsibilities for the team; play a role of a coach and a mentor to the team; inculcate the spirit of ownership; identify, groom, reward and develop high performers and future leaders; identify training needs and impart on-job training; resolve escalated conflicts and grievances
