Job Profile:

Process

1. Provide engineering services maintenance related inputs to the Unit Head for formulation of the overall maintenance strategy of the unit to ensure maximum plant upkeep time

2. Support all major plant shutdowns and overhauls in conjunction with production and production planning departments to minimize plan downtime and production loss

3. Provide technical assistance to analyze engineering services failures/ breakdown in equipment and solving critical equipment problems/ failures ; maintain record of equipment wise maintenance record and expenditure, and provide analysis of the same to Senior Management as and when required

4. Review and analyze the breakdowns of repetitive nature occurring in the plant and find a solution to the same with the Maintenance team

5. Formulate the planned maintenance schedule for general maintenance based on the Job Change Schedule (Monthly production plan and Green Signal) to ensure maximum plant upkeep time and ensure execution of the same

6. Support general maintenance part of all projects / up-gradation works undertaken in other plant and ensure integration with existing systems

7. Ensure proper documentation of all jobs including details of problem diagnosis and resolution as well as spares used for future reference and analysis

8. Ensure leverage of SAP (PP, PM, MM)module in maintenance for effective recording and monitoring of maintenance data

9. Ensure strict adherence to norms laid down for quality, health and safety by creating awareness through training / workshop / awareness sessions and making compliance mandatory in general maintenance

10. Implement key process improvement initiatives to be taken-up in instrumentation maintenance (such as ISO, TPM, PMS, etc.) from time to time by in accordance with organizational guidelines

11. Ensure error free production by regular maintenance of calibration of equipment

12. Ensure hassle free operation of the air conditioning system and telephone system in the plant

Customer

1. Ensures sound and robust systems for coordination, which aim at identifying and addressing internal customers- needs on a continuous basis

2. Develop a system for identification and development of vendors and substitutes for imported products (wherever possible) for general maintenance / availability of spares to ensure no disruption in production and optimize cost

People

1. Set goals, review and manage performance, guide and counsel and provide feedback to subordinates on performance so as to ensure a motivated and committed team

2. Provide subordinates with the required growth opportunities to ensure their development for higher-level roles

3. Coordinate with Training Cell to ensure skill development of capabilities of the team and they are in sync with emerging trends in the industry.

4. Develop One strong second line in the department

Summary:Mechanical man with more experience in plant maintenance of Utilities like Compressors, Blowers, DG Sets. Pumps, Experienced in Energy management / Power, Fuel and water management in big industries. Managing people in company roles as well as outsourced groups, should have idea on fuel storage yard management, Fire Hydrants, Electrical & Instrumentation.

Qualification: Minimum bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: Minimum 18-20 years in continuous process plant
