Head - Logistics - FMCG

We have urgent opening for Head Global logistics based at Mumbai location.

We need strong in operations logistics, warehouses, shipment port, customs clearance, 3PL, freight forward, compliance

JD:-

- Define capabilities, processes and technology required to meet SCM vision

- Adhere to the departmental budget set out by the management team

- Define governance plan for 3PL operations along with the team

- Develop warehousing strategy (e.g., location, capacity, etc.) on the basis of business requirements

- Decide an algorithm to be adopted to arrange stocks within warehouses depending on the sequence of customer orders and inventory turnover rates

- Operate within the limits of authority as defined by the Delegation of Power (DoP)

- Suggest performance improvement opportunities by identifying places to streamline and improve operations

- Ensure close coordination with business and other stakeholders to ensure full alignment of procurement activities with business needs

- Lead and/or participate in cross-functional team projects

- Facilitate ongoing collaboration between the Operations team, Sourcing team and Logistics team

- Work closely with and guide supply chain staff to increase capacity and continuously improve operations to deliver targeted business KPIs

- Govern adherence to SLAs for 3PL vendor and authorize necessary actions (e.g., release of payments, imposition of penalties etc.)

- Ensure material delivery scheduling systems, documentation procedures and shipping information systems are developed to facilitate delivery to internal customers

- Ensure follow up on damages, investigate and identify the reason for the damaged goods and submit a report to supply chain head

- Ensure timely disposal of scrap through effective scrap management measures and effective stakeholder collaboration with finance

- Minimize stock variance for the inventory stocked in the warehouses and improvement in delivery timeliness through identified operational initiatives and work with stakeholders to execute

- Ensure safety certification in warehouses for protection against fire and relevant measures for any such eventualities

- Approve and authorize calculations of dispatch/demurrage

- Implement or oversee environmental management or sustainability programs addressing issues such as recycling, conservation, or waste management
