Head of Logistics/ Logistics Operations

Job Summary:

- We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Logistics Operations to lead our logistics and fleet management team, ensuring the seamless execution of first-mile, middle-mile, and last-mile logistics.

- This role is essential in overseeing and optimizing the movement of goods across the supply chain while managing a fleet of delivery riders.

- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics operations and delivery management, with expertise in vendor management, fleet oversight, and minimal warehouse interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Operations Management:

- Oversee end-to-end logistics operations, including first-mile, middle-mile, and last-mile activities.

- Implement and monitor efficient routing and dispatching of delivery riders to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.

-Work closely with cross-functional teams to align logistics operations with overall business objectives.

Fleet & Rider Management:

- Manage a large fleet of delivery riders (2-wheeler focus), ensuring adherence to safety standards, vehicle maintenance, and performance metrics.

- Develop training and incentive programs to enhance rider productivity and engagement.

Vendor Management:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, negotiating contracts and managing service level agreements (SLAs).

- Continuously evaluate vendor performance, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and efficiency targets.

Optimization & Cost Efficiency:

- Identify and implement strategies to optimize delivery processes, reduce costs, and improve service quality.

- Utilize data analytics to monitor performance metrics, drive process improvements, and enhance logistics efficiency.

Compliance & Safety:

- Ensure that all logistics operations comply with industry regulations and internal safety standards.

- Implement risk management strategies to address potential issues in the logistics and fleet management processes.
