- Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields.
- Preferred MBA
- 12-14 years of relevant experience.
- Strong managerial, planning, analytical, statistical, decision making, presentation, communication and lateral thinking skills.
- Excellent communications skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the liability products and retail banking industry including the applicable regulations and guidelines within Central Bank of Oman.
- Thorough understanding of the target customer segmentation and alignment of the relevant products accordingly.

Job Description
The purpose of this position is to To develop and create, own, manage and lead the Liability Portfolio, in terms of volume & profitability per product, within Retail & Private Banking. The main focus would be on CASA (Current And Savings Accounts) to fulfill the growing needs of retail liability customer needs with greater thrust and knowledge of Current Account Product development and Customer Life Cycle Management.
- Designs the overall Liability strategy for Retail Banking in line with the Bank's strategic focus.
- Assessing the current suite of liability products for relevance and appropriateness in the current market conditions.
- Designing and developing new and innovative products and ensuring it follows all internal processes and is launched in a timely manner.
- Conducting focus groups with Sales and Distribution teams.
- Implementing a - Regional Sales Strategy- for Deposit Mobilization by working closely with Retail Head and the respective Regional and Branch Managers as well as the targeted segments of the bank, e.g. business banking
- Ensuring that volumes and targets are set for each channel and product with the relevant profitability measures in place to grow CASA.
- Thorough understanding of Business Hooks and Enablers like CMS, Transaction Banking, POS, IPG, Net Banking, etc.
- Conducts, bank wide training programs for all new products before launch date with the relevant sales and Distribution teams.
- Works with the Marketing and Advertising teams to ensure that new and existing focus products are featured and communicated to the market to enhance sales.
- Monitors and evaluates the current trends in the portfolio to recommend corrective action / retention management, as appropriate with the relevant sales and distribution heads.
- Liaises with IT, Retail Operations and Project Management Office for system design and integration to ensure seamless support to branches and ensuring efficient customer service. Ensures that all liability products have Central Bank's approval.
